When the Storm Comes... Where is Your Faith?
The bible tells us in Mark 4:17 that persecution arises for the Word sake.
I Peter 4:12-19 says that it's not strange that the fiery trial comes against you, but let that persecution come because you are doing the Word, and not because of sin that you are in.
But when the storm comes, there is a force that is more powerful than the storm. That force is the force of faith, that every born-again believer possesses. Now where is that force of faith? Romans 10:8 tells us that the force of faith is in our mouths and in our hearts. Proverbs 18:21 says: "death and life are in the power of the tongue."
Begin to speak to the storms of life with faith-filled words from your heart.
Faith changes things, faith will change a storm into victory in your life!
Honor is one of the most important subjects of the bible.
Other than love and faith there's no greater subject that a believer should know, because love and honor are connected and everything hangs on the rod of love.
When love is present, honor is present. For faith to work, healing to work, our finances and relationships to work… honor must be present and love must be present.
What is Honor? Honor is to make heavy, weighty, to influence, and be of value, worship, praise, to be rich toward God and respect.
To have the power of the Holy Spirit in full measure we must honor the Lord in our church services.
First Samuel 2:30 say’s “God will honor those that honor him: and those that despise him he will lightly esteem them.”
To have the power of the Holy Spirit in measure, we must honor the Lord.
His presence must be valued in our worship, our giving, and we must give attention to his word.
Begin to examine your heart and ask yourself these questions:
Do I really honor God?
Is God highly respected in every area of my life?
Or do I honor him when it's convenient for me?
True honor (that is from God) loves His Word.
His word will hold more weight in your life than anything else.
The true measure of walking in love is... "the ability to walk in love towards someone who is not so lovable"
Question: What would you do if you only had $20 to your name?
Suggestion: There are 4 choices you could make:
1. Keep it - dont spend it
2. Eat it - buy a mc-value meal
3. Give it - to somebody else in need
4. Sow it - only Jesus can multiply it 30, 60 and 100 fold
What choice will you make?
